MEETING REGARDING COOL CHAIN DEVELOPMENT WITH VICE CHANCELLOR AGRICULTURE UNIVERSITY KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA PROVINCE PESHAWAR DATED 18^th June 2010

A Meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Agriculture University. Mr. Mehmood consultant briefed about the activities to be carried out for development of cool chain for perishable fruits and vegetables. Professors of University, Agriculture Research, Agriculture Extension and other stake holders also participated. PPD CMP-II briefed about the activities of CMP-II and informed the house that activities must be carried out in field firstly formation of growers association and then linked with market as envisaged in CMP-II activities. Vice Chancellor informed that beside cool chain development project must initiate the activities to minimize post harvest losses and also small processing special units be provided to farmers.
