Visit of Mr. Inayatullah Khan Agriculture Development Commissioner MINFA to Model Village of CMP-II Swabi Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa Province

Agriculture Development Commissioner Visited Model Village Panjpir Swabi District and met with Village Organization Cabinet and VO Farmers at District Swabi. PPD and DPM along with BDE were also present. Farmers discussed different problems faced by them ADC ensured them to solve their problems in the best interest of small farmers. Farmers showed great interest in agriculture development and requested that matching grant, implement pool amount and IDI, budget be provided to them. Progressive farmer Mr. Saidullah informed that they are producing Novel Vegetables such as Broccoli, Brussels, Sprout, Chinese, Cabbages, Ice berg Salad and CMP-II has guided them in using modern technology. Farmers showed interest in Hydroponics and requested ADC to provide them the facility to visit Rawat and learn about this modern technology. ADC also visited the field and inspected the Karela Crop, Bhandi crop and Sunflower beside Hybrid Maize. ADC was also informed by farmers /VO members that in Swabi more that 80% crop of Maize are sown by Hybrid seed and they are getting double yield than traditional Maize varieties. Farmers informed that they have some problems in getting clearance at vegetables seed clearance at airport. ADC directed CMP-II PPD to solve their problems and in coordination with NPD and MINFA.
